Hi I acquired this in a small part of an old collection. Does anyone know anything about this ? I’ve searched and can’t find anything on front and back mint marks at the same time .

This issue comes up from time to time. To my limited knowledge, there are no known examples of a 1917 Walker with both obverse and reverse mint marks. There are, however, innumerable examples of counterfeit 1917 Walkers with both obverse and reverse mint marks. My conclusion: The coin described is a counterfeit.

Time for more coffee.

for the 1917 part way through, they moved the mint mark to the back, so you could have the D on the front or the back. The mint mark on the front is more rare, and worth more, surprised they forgot to remove the one from the back (if it is a fake)

There are no known examples of a Walking Liberty Half with mintmarks on the front and back at the same time. Probably a fake. Lot of counterfeit coins coming in from China nowadays.
