I’ve never seen one before , or papier-mache before either . I would think it should be a good rare item well worth 20 ,,,, I’m pretty sure I would have bought it . Congrats !!! Nice find !!

Contact a reputable dealer in St. Louis. Anheuser Busch is most popular there, but anything from Lemp is typically desirable!

Saw one on worthpoint...I don't have a subscription so I couldn't see auction results.

Update...worked out a deal with collector from St.Louis for $375

Daaaaang! Nice pick and congratulations! St. Louis area guy here and the supposedly haunted Lemp Mansion is a wildly popular attraction here. Stories of madness, suicide and murder most foul.

Looks like the collector offered you a very fair price, 375 is no low-ball offer but I don't know how rare such pieces are; they would never survive in the elements like porcelain signs. I'm glad that both of you are happy!

I just traded for this Lemp paper mache sign for another sign I paid $3500 for. Feel they are comparable given the rarity of both pieces. Can’t believe you found it for $20. Wow! AntiqueAdvertisingExpert.com
