I found 2 big cans buried in the side of a mountain. Inside the two big cans, were three smaller cans. Inside the smaller cans were three leather pouches. Inside the pouches were about $200 in Federal Reserve Bank Notes from 1928-1934, a 1922 Peace Coin, and gold teeth! Most of the money are Silver Certificates. And the gold tested at 22k! The gold teeth weigh 31.8 grams without the single crown. The row of teeth are all solid besides the two that look to have capped over the persons existing teeth. Thanks for taking the time to check out my very first metal detecting find!

Wow that is an outstanding find! Finding a cache like that is any treasure hunter's dream! With the dates of the bills, those cans were probably cashed there during the Great Depression due to many people not trusting banks!

I couldn’t believe it! It was only my third time going out metal detecting. I’ve only been doing it for about three weeks. I’ve been using a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV that my parents gave me. Beginners luck must be real!

Welcome to tnet!

That's a really cool find. One of the tins looks like an old ''Hills Bros'' coffee tin.

Good thing you had a cheap detector, and were a newbie, or you would have never dug that target..........lucky find alright. Awesome recovery. Those teeth are the cats meow. I am going to give a banner vote, I want to see those old rusty cans up there.

Awesome finds of a stash buried long ago! Congrats! I honestly believe that this Thread should be in the "Today's Finds" Forum.

Very nice start to the hobby. Goes to show it don't hurt to dig every target. I have no knowledge of value of paper money, or if bill's in that condition are still collectable but, I would guess if you had a friendly bank, they MIGHT be able to get you face value on the bills that are like 51% there. Still a nice score. Have you researched the ticket for Nampa Trade Days? I have no idea on melt value on the teeth. Good luck.
