Your political pin was issued by Republican Nelson Rockefeller of New York during one of his 4 races for the governorship. He first beat W. Averell Harriman in 1958, Robert M. Morgenthau & David Jaquith in 1962, Frank O'Connor, Paul Adams, and Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr. in 1966, and Arthur Goldberg and Paul Adams in 1970.

Your item is what we in the hobby call a jewelry item. It was worn by either a campaign worker, family member, or a strong female supporter. These type items were not generally given out at campaign headquarters. They were usually used as thank yous, and "favors".

Since he ran for governor 4 times, there are at least a 150 different governor pins known for him. I have no idea as to the number of ribbons he had issued. He also ran for president, and had pins issued for that race also.

Your item is in the $10 to $12 range.
