    What do you think...

As you may recall I dug this coin last week... its a MM or 2 smaller than a current dime...

    Original Pictures:

After what seems like a huge number of hours using various cleaning methods :-)

Some details are starting to appear...

I can a A on the left... an N on the right...

The middle looks like a shield or crest...

Help me to ID this puppy! :-)

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Until you can get down to something identifiable, I'd keep cleaning--and ask Damon to offer you another of his beers.

Probably not,but it looks like an old knockout of a commercial grade electrical box. What made me think of this is the size, not much visible on the face and where the 2 are on edge,it looks like where it was slightly mounted to something.

    Re: What do you think...

I can see an image on the first pic, very similar outline to the coin i posted, i also see letters on the other pic.

Whether or not its a coin remains to be seen, could be a token but i have yet to see a knock-out plug stamped with anything.

    Re: What do you think...

You need to clean it some more. The coin has alot of damage so not much to lose, but it would be good for you to find out what kind of coins might be at your site.. Keep a close eye on it - while cooking

Careful with the electrolysis. I cooked a shield nickel to death in error . Monty
