1854 coin/token ID plz

Hi, I found and old cellar hole today with a 20x20 rock foundation, about 50 ft back another smaller foundation. There were plenty of iron signals and hot rocks everywhere so I had to turn the sens. down and the disc. to 1 cent on my silver umax to keep from going crazy from all the iron? hits everywhere.
After a while I popped this up out of the ground right next to the base of a small tree. I was amazed how big it was, it seems to be written in another language but the date reads 1854 . It's soaking in some warm water right now and I havent touched it except lightly to see the date. Please advise, Thanks.
