    Any Idea?

    Found these items today but unsure what the brass item on the top right is. Any idea?

    some of those rulers had 2 more hinges and small brass tips on the ends. The other 2 hinges looked like small door hinges and one hinge would go on each side halfway between the center hinge or pivot of the ruler and the end
