    Solid Copper,,,,,Something??

    Hello all

We recently moved to North Texas and finally found time to swing the coil. I was sniffing around an old and rather large oak tree when I got a good solid signal at 6 inches. This is what I pulled out. It is solid copper and about 8 inches in length. I was just wondering if anyone might have a clue as to what it is. See pics.

I thought it was bent by force. However, I have seen lightning rods that are made this way. Here is an example.

    BTW Welcome to TN. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.p...,259097.0.html

Guess I'm too late to add that I also think it is a lightning rod.

I just realized that top pic I posted has a very similar bend to it. I guess that about wraps it up. No need to wait for the fat lady to sing.

Green check please. The fat lady has sung.
I believe in wind even though I cannot see it. I believe in the sun even when it is dark. I believe in love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when he is silent.
