Bullets?

Quick question on these bullets. Are there any here that stand out as better than just normal bullets?The top pile are from the strips to the right that are sniped of I guess called musket shot.And vary a little in size.The more modern ones in the middle not sure on.And the bottom batch are all different size as well.I see some sites have some bullets that are worth right much.But most seem to be from around the civil war era that I've found (online sites speaking).As much of these are before minus the middle.I guess if any one knows a site that might help me on these older ones is another question I'll add.Or is there?

the ones in the middle are more modern (post 1900) lead SWC target bullets...

the round balls? I honestly don't know much about those, and round balls are VERY hard to ID, (for me anyway) They are harder to pin down. hopefully someone else can speak on those...

Yea there are 2 ages for the musket balls as well I would think.As there are these type that are smooth and then there are the ones that have the tips to them that I would think are very old.Thats what all the little ones are and only a few of the bigger ones

In the close up, the one to the left below the dime looks like it might be civil war but I couldn't see the bottom of the bullet. The round balls are civil war or earlier. If there was a battle where you dug them some may have come from cannon balls or shells as they were filled with lead or iron balls and sometimes bullets. A couple look iron. If they are they are canister from a cannon. The piece sticking out of some of them is the sprue. It is from the hole the lead was poured into when they were made . Most of the time they were cut off. In the top pic, at the top right it looked like a row of sprues from a gang mold.
Oh yeah it looks like a bunch of small roundballs at the top. The . 69 round balls were packaged with 3 smaller balls. This was called buck and ball. Sometime the indentions from the smaller balls will be left on the bigger ones.

Thanks Monty, yea there not fishing leads.I know what that is. These are lead shot from way back that was once attached to stripes like the pieces in the first pic. to the right.They do look alot like them though but I know they are not. one in the bottom picture below the dime and pointed looks like a sharps possible cw era

I looked at this again and can see the bottom of the bullet on the left under the dime. I guess the whole pic didn't load last time. The bullet is a civil war period colt. From the pic it looks to be a .36 caliber but it's kind of hard to tell.
