    This automobile grille - it's from a 1950 Pontiac

Can anyone identify this automobile grille?

I am looking for the make and model of the automobile.

It might be a 1950's American car but I can not find one to match.

Re: Can anyone identify this automobile grille?

I looked at pictures of 1950's Ford Coupes but the circle on my grille is smaller and has the "V" struts.

I flipped the image over to show the struts.

Re: Can anyone identify this automobile grille - 1950 Pontiac

How soon we forget. My, oh my, I used to watch those go up and down the highway in front of my grandma's place. Just can't remember all the designs anymore. How frail is ... my ... memory. Oh well!
Dear Lord, lest I continue in my complacent ways, help me to remember that someone died for me today. And if there be war, help me to remember to ask and to answer "am I worth dying for?" - Eleanor Roosevelt

Re: Can anyone identify this automobile grille - 1950 Pontiac

    Yay! Solved.

I was pretty sure we were talking 1950 - but it is a tad difficult to discern a whole vehicle from pieces.

Gosh - you are right - there was a time I could identify each and every car that went down the road, what engine it came with, etc.

Now, sometimes I cannot tell a Cadillac. (remember that year or 2 when they shrunk the Cadillac and it didn't look like a Cadillac anymore? Glad they stopped that!

    Noodle,

At least they know us geezers are the biggest buying public (for right now, anyway). The mustang almost looks like a mustang, they are making a Chevy that looks a little like an older Camaro, etc) - and they are playing our music - albeit, screwed up - in elevators!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Thank you for your help identifying the automobile grille.

The metal remains were hauled away sometime in 2011.
