    1940 OMAHA WOODMEN Medallion

My buddy Richard dug this medallion in Corvallis Oregon yesterday. Bronze and about 28 or 29 mm in diameter. The back reads..... 1890-1940 Omaha Woodmen Golden Anniversary
The front has 3 mens pictures with their names engraved above their pictures. They are from L to R: Joseph Collen Root.....De Emmett Bradshaw.....William Alexander Fraser.

Anyone know anything about this piece?

    THANKS!
    Neil

Well, actually I was looking the info that WASN'T on the medallion/medal.

I'd like to know things like ~ were these given out as prizes or gifts? Did someone have to do something special to get one, or could you just buy them? How rare or common is it? Does it have any collector value? Maybe someone has some info about it that would be interesting to know.

The link was very interesting as I have seen many of the old tree stumps in cemetery's. Maybe that coin has the founders on it ? It commemorates its anniversary. Very nice find.
