N.H. White company made instruments started making trombones withthe king name around 1895, and was once known as the standard of the world. They also marketed other instruments under the king name. Is it possibly a valve button from a brass instrument? Just a thought.
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines. I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.
The patent is for the collar button. The writing on the button is for Caddillac, NH White or something else.

I found this-http://tinyurl.com/25vzyuh so I guess it could be the same button. It's a long link and I couldn't find it in the link but it's for a wholesale company in Canada in the early 1900's called Gordon Mackay & Co. Ltd. or something like that. So I think it's just what it "says" is, a "just it" collar button.
