    thrift store find

    ok folks i volunteer at a local food pantry/thrift store
    this item came and and was going to be tossed
    looked neat to me so i got it but now what the heck is it and how old

    at 5 1/2 inches wide it seems a little over kill to be a cigar cutter

    Just a guess, but some beer makers like Budweiser also made yeast for bakeries.
    Could this be a dough knife used to cut dough for benchwork ? The handle part
    seems to fit, but most I've seen were straight edge on the bottom.

    I still think it's for opening up old fruit crates. Ever see old fruit crates with the slats on top, with that thing you could wack on it between the slats and open it fast.
