This button has CSH. I can't find any information on it.
Though it could be Confederate States Hospital?

Yes, that's possable. But I have found other Civil War buttons, The last was a Confederate I Old English Infantry button.
Bullet's, and so on in the same area.

That's not it. The CSH is printed in capital letters straight across the front of the button like this C S H
I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow. I know it's hard to ID a button, or most anything with out
a photo of it.
Thanks to all who have responded. I'm yet looking for an answer. I have done some research on the net.
And didn't find a thing on it.

Two more possibilities:
Confederate Soldiers Home or Colorado Soldiers Home.

Location is Dinwiddie County Airport property, off Boydton Plank Road in Dinwiddie Virginia.
This area saw a lot of heavy fighting in 1864 a 65
Check the Battle of Boydton Plank Road.

Central State Hospital is located off Boydton Plank Road. At about 2 miles from my site.
I bid some repair work there a few years ago. It was interesting, to say the least.
But ya, your idea bears some looking into. That could be the connection.
And, in reading the Virginia .gov site you posted, I found a bit of information I needed
for something else I'm looking for in the area.
I welcome your comments on any post I make. Sometime a bit of humor with a message in it.

Yes it does help. Looks like a 2 piece button but we cant see the backmark. Can you tell us what it says?

I saw that site. You you gave, with the guy saying he never heard of such a button.
Well, now we know there is a real one. We just need to know what the button is.
