    TOKEN I.D.

I found this token and need help identifying it. It is the size of a silver dollar, and is made out of brass.
On the front it reads: W.m Foster & Co. Ltd. Lincoln. (this script is written along the edge) In the middle is stamped 22 (over) 1 (over) 1900. On the back is the same numeral stamp 22 over 1 over 1900. I assume it is American and that's why I need help. (I found it in Canada)
    Thankyou in advance.
    Dave.

    Re: TOKEN I.D.

While I can't speak as to the purpose of the token (perhaps a union trade token), "W.m. Foster & Co. ltd" is a Lincoln engineering firm that produced steam engines for various applications in the 1900's. Here's a link for some pics: (scroll down about half way to the co's header)

Here is a book about the company:

Nice piece of history, you should try and get a pic up.
