    Old Glassware

Hello everyone, this glass piece came from my mother's house. I guess she got it from her mother and is curious about it's origins/worth or whatever. Any ideas?

    Maybe Uranium, or Vasoline glass?
Hit it with a blacklight if you have one.

Thanks, unfortunately the piece remains at my mother's over an hour away so I won't be able to take a black light to it.

I didnt know about Uranium glass. Thats interesting.

I would try searching the green depression glasses. Is that an aluminum handle?

Vaseline Glass.I would imagine if you put it under a black lite it would really glow. A nice item, probably from the late 1920's.
Quite popular with glass colectors. Normally priced quite high in antique shops.

    Re: Old Glassware

Your piece is early american pattern glass , it was made by two different companies first by Adams in 1874 then U.S. Glass in1891. The pattern name is Wildflower and it is vaseline glass. I am not 100% sure but I think it would be considered a cake stand.

Nice ID ! This site lists an exact of yours as a bread tray :

    Re: Old Glassware

Thanks for the ID, this is fantastic. My mother will be excited to finally know what this piece is. Sorry for the delayed reply, I forgot about this post until my mother brought up the subject earlier today. One last question, I have to ask what it may be worth if anyone knows.
