i see what you're saying, but that piece is one size around in d middle. this piece tapers from small diameter to a larger diameter, and the thickness of the base and rings are thinner on this..i just don't know

Mick56 may be on to something...it looks like a cast piece and it might be a slightly different configuration because it might be from a different production year or maker model.
Who makes those? AC/Delco?

fellas...sorry to all. i just couldn't belive that was a dang car part or more, didn't want to believe it. but i asked my dad without saying what yall thought. what is it. he used to work on all them old cars and he says, i'm not real sure but it looks like part of a brake....that's all i needed to hear. then i told him yall were saying the same...learn something all the time i guess..thanks guys
