    Coin Help.

    Found a new cellar hole with a friend who is new to detecting. He found his first old coin and asked me to post it on TNET. Its a copper and has the date of 1658. It is the size of a farthing and has the appearance of a French coin. I think some of the letters are OYD?

    I would have guessed 1653; mintmark 'G', from Poitiers
