    Re: button help please

There was a discussion about these earlier this year.. Not buttons, but I think some kind of tag of farm equipment. Let me see if I can find the thread

Here it is, I just re-read it and I guess there's nothing real definitive about it other than its not a button

OMG another one. This is one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of TN.

Can you post a better pic please front and bacK?

Where did you find it and can you take a guess on the date range? Is it before or after electric? Any clue will help.
I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

here are some better pics, hopefully. I dont have my good camera with me today. This "E" was found on a site that has produced old old Indian pottery, 1682 Reale, 1782 Reale, IH cent, large cent, 1838 half dime, lots of civil war era stuff like buckles and harmonicas. My guess on the date based on context [img][/img]is 1750-1820

the other object was found in the same area. Drawer pull?

My guess based on an E with no serifs is late-1800's at the very oldest
