    Anyone know what this is?

I found this on a torn up street in Wisconsin. It was about three feet below the street level. Its made of lead I believe. Its heavy for its size. I also found some copper tools from the copper culture people at the same location. Im having trouble getting my photos on here because they are too many kbts or what ever. If anyone is interested in seeing it I can put it on craigslist, there it will show up alright. I sent some pictures to a friend on craigslist or if there is anyone who can walk me thru making the items smaller so that I can put on here. Im useless with a computor so maybe I will just put it on craigslist. Go to Florida. Then to Ocala location then go to antiques. I will post it as Indian artifacts. Thanks for your help.

I'm only slightly better than useless on a computer. I open my pictures on my computer with Microsoft office picture manager. Don't know if you have that but if you do you can edit your pic and resize it until you get it under the requirement. I couldn't walk you through it but hopefully that will point you in the right direction.

Can you give a better description? So far the only thing we know about it is it's lead...

BigCypressHunter, I don't want to "hijack" the discussion about ekotti's mystery-object, so this post is brief. Check your TN PM box. To help you rebuild your research, photos, etc., I'll do whatever is within my ability.

Dont worry about me. Im just going to have to pay to fix it and /or retreive my files. Its my fault for not saving to disc.

Can you find a way to post more pics? Back and side view may help. Did you say it was lead? Is that a hole in the center?

Geeze...I forgot all about spinner toys...I'm getting old...lol. The were fun but both holes were centered for balance of the toy so it spun smoothly. Loved the "whirring" noise they made. When you're poor, you make and do simple things like this. We used everything from big buttons to lids with holes poked in them. Was fun til the string broke anyhow...lol

Big cy I just lost my computer too. Luckily my son is an IT specialist and just now put this new one together for me. He said he had a program that might recover most of my lost files. I'll let you know what happens and perhaps I can give you a hand. Monty

Re: Anyone know what this is?

Im surprised there are no comments relating to the identification. We are gonna need more pics on this one ekotti.

Why do you think its Indian? Did the ancient Florida Indians use lead? I believe the only metals they had were what was salvaged from the Spanish conquistadors and I dont recall any particular mention of lead items being used. They did rework Spanish gold and silver and thats what we search for lol..

Do the holes go all the way through? It may be a homemade gasket or something for a water pump perhaps.

    Thanks Monty and CBG..

Re: Anyone know what this is?

I just realized you found it in Wisconsin which I know nothing about. Did the copper culture people use lead? You need to post those copper tools.

You only need to resize. We have a test forum and we also have a image editor. Look on the bottom for:
Please read this before posting images.
If you don't have your own image editor, you can use this editor to resize, crop and rotate your images.

You could also move your pics to Paint or download Irfvanview for free to easily resize. I hope someone else can help better explain.
