    Can you tell me?

I found this item several years back, it came from the same field as the trade silver. It is larger than the one penny bank token which is about one inch. The edge has been detereating from being in the ground. I think it was silver plated, the back is either lead or pewter, I am not sure if it might be from the revolutionary war time period, I know is old, any ideas. NT

It a rosette to a horse harness or bridle. It is probably pewter and was silver washed. Probably dates early to mid 1800's Maybe a bit earlier

Thanks for the info, I never really thought much about it. I know it is old, I should look into rosette's and maybe I will find this one. HH

Otherwise called Harness mounts or horse bosses. Most likely 18th C, some cross over a little into early 19th
