    Help with Buckle?

    Found this buckle the other day near where I found the 1838 Large Cent. Its a little bit larger than a silver dollar. Was wondering the type and age of the buckle, that is if its even a buckle. Thanks for your help.

    We call them Anular Buckles, some were used on horse harness, some were decorated and thought to be belt buckles. I would think yours is horse related Date used early ones1600- 1720, yours looks to be mid 1900s
