"Hi, My name is Indiana Digger & I'm an addict..."
Early 1800's Historical Site - Flintlock Piece? & Jewlery Piece?
Hi Everyone,
A good hunt this afternoon. All items pictured were pulled off an early 1800's site.
A nice mix of relics today.
Help me out, if you can.
Is the flintlock piece a part of the pan assembly or the actual hammer?
On the "unknown" piece...necklace piece? Pocketwatch chain?

Thanks for looking and I hope it's a while before the ground freezes solid!
Happy Hunting,
~Indiana Digger~

Hey Indiana Digger,
That is the hammer which the flint would be clamped into. Nice display.

I've seen similar chain mountings on a ladies change purse, could be that's what you have.

The unknown chain piece probably came from a Victorian ladies chatelaine. Nice finds, Breezie
