    Grinder or what?

    I did not dig this, someone else did. I found it when I bought this old house and it was in the pole barn in a cookie tin along with a bunch of old dug jewelry and tokens. any idea?

    Metal or Stone? Looks like it might be a weight....or even a mold of some kind

    It is stone, thought maybe somebody made it to darn things. The little plates are hand made, out of what looks like copper. The handle looks like silver. It is made for the finger. The bottom is flat but it is flattened out more on one side.

    It looks liek an old crucible, made for melting gold/silver possibly. It may have been for somebody who was crafting their own jewelry.

    It is really to small for grinding corn. I thought maybe medicine. It would have to be a small amount of something to grind
