    Need ID on iron object

Found this near where the early coin spill was found that was posted on the Todays Finds forum. Its very heavy and about 10" long. Thought it might be one of those old window counterbalance weights but not sure. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Looks like a sounding Iron, counter balance or sash window weight

I don't think it is a window weight because they are the same diameter from top to bottom. Breezie
