    A couple whatsits

Not sure if either of these are to get excited about...My guess is not. But I'd still like to know if anyone has any idea what they are and what they go to. Found them in a field today along with a few civil war era round balls. Hope you experts can help!

    Happy Hunting!

Which one were you wondering about the ship on? The only thing that I can see that has anything on it is the big item on the right. It has what looks like a flattened and bent clasp or hook of some kind. Maybe a buckle or something, but not real sure. It has a dimple in the center almost like there was a post or something there at one point. Hope that helps.

This is the one I was referring to. It looks like a ship , but it is rotated roughly 45º clockwise.

I wish it was a ship, but sadly it's just scrapes from being hit with a plow, or my shovel.

Those two pieces were soldered together, it is a broken bridle rosette.

Under the scrapes should be some countermarks, its a 'pan weight' (sometimes call a trade weight) which could be dated by those marks.
