1816 US Bayonet Makers Mark ID?

Found a makers mark on this dug bayonet. It was dug in South Carolina and the stamp says US and underneath it appears to say SH.

I've been able to locate ID's that say SC and NC. These were supposedly the makers or inspectors marks and did not stand for North or South Carolina. I thought mine was SC until I cleaned it a little and took a picture.

The bayonet is a M-1816 bayonet issued for a .69 caliber musket. The bayonet measures 19 1/4''. The blade measures 15 3/4'' and the socket is right at 3'' with the T slot mount.

I'm just curious if the stamp of SH is rare or does that even matter?

Overall bayonet is in fine+ shape. Bayonet has an smooth gray appearance overall. Socket is 2 7/8 inches in length. Muzzle ring is 22 mm in diameter. The bayonet is 19 inches in length overall.
