Beach metal? What is it?

I don't have any idea what this may be. 1 3/4" rd. Might be copper and i believe it to come off an old boat/ship many yrs back due to the location.
It was mounted to wood.

do you have a pic of the back? How was it mounted to wood. I see a small hole in the upper center. was it nailed? neat find. not sure what it is though.

Looks like an old steamer trunk decoration or maybe off of an old desk? Nice Find

Looks like a fancy old drawer pull to me.

I agree that it is some type of furniture drawer knob. The tiny hole is for a 'set tack' to prevent the knob from spinning when used, thus all the hardware would stay facing the same direction. If it were a decorative piece, it would not have the larger center post, it would have 4 or 2 tiny 'set holes.' Nice find, Breezie
