    Help with ID

Dug this early on in 2011 and going through organizing my finds. Early 1800's home.
It is very small, 1" long x 1/2" wide. Appears to have a Boar's head design on top. Back appears to be attachments for either leather or wood.
    Thanks for any help.

I found the same thing, only a different design. I believe I did see an ID for it at some point but can't remember. Could have very well been on this site.

    Thanks Broken knee.
Was definitely thinking more of a leather-based item.
So, the longer attachment would hook through the other strap's hole?

    Thanks guys!
My eyes were just not going there for some reason. Definitely makes more sense as a Horse Head as opposed to Boar!
    Will green check.
