Medal, costume jewellery?
I hit it on a Roman place yesterday. What may this be according to you?
1 gram and his diameter 1cm. He may have been a sphere according to me originally.

If you look the edges are serated, it look like the bottom locked over the top, I don't think a earing would be like that, plus it looks to thin for a earing.

Re: Medal, costume jewellery?
According to me earring, very thin, graceful. Maybe as if I would have seen a closing solution like this on Byzantine jewels, than the beer-bottle cap.

Re: Medal, costume jewellery?
I read that they put relics into the Byzantine jewels somewhere. Into a cross, a sphere. No way that this so?

I'm really not sure, the picture is hard to make out. My first thought was a pendant as well (maybe even Saxon period in our timeline), but then I do remember thin light pressed gold earrings from the Roman period. Although looking again I'm not happy it is, just not really sure what it is other than gold, at least 1000 years old &
