    Another Something....

    OK...here's another for you to solve. This one is pretty simple looking, but I dunno what it is. Brass....1 3/4 inches tall....1 inch wide at the base. Thanks!!!!

    That to me looks like a shaft tip off of a wagon, coach, buggy or something of that nature.

    It just might be a holder(attaches to your belt) to put the butt of a flag staff in. Just my guess.

    Came to the same kind of conclusion..tip of a flagstaff. In my opinion it was for resting the flag on the ground, maybe a marching band or military. A belt for holding a flag while marching would have a small cup, and that part of yours would just sit in the cup.
    Could also be the tip of a walking stick too.

    If it has a worn flat spot on one side, I would agree with Creskol that it is likely a buggy shaft tip.

    It does have a 'worn' spot on the bottom side around the flat end of the piece. You can see it in the pic above. Other than that, it's pretty substantial.
