Solved: Hatchet or an AXE or wishful thinking...

Please tell me these are old and not "more rusted junk" as my husband refers to my finds! The little tip thing I have no idea, please don't laugh to hard at me if it is just something stupid! also the thing with the hole in it, I have not a clue as to what it is.

As rusty as that stuff is, it's gotta be kind of old. Prolly at least as old as I am. Hey, I find that kind of stuff all the time. The good stuff is out there amongst the rust, keep looking. I get teased by my wife about all the pull tabs, but just wait until one of those turns out to be a nice diamond ring, then we'll see what she says. Keep swinging, low and slow, it's there.

LOL, I did find a beauty of a diamond ring last year, it was inscribed with first names and the date of the wedding. I spent HOURS and HOURS trying to find the owner, checking every lost and found site I could find, posted it on my blog, craigslist, ringfinders and etc. I was totally obsessed with finding the owner, about drove myself nuts!

You can read the outcome on my blog if you are interested: as far as finding things, I will take a piece of rusty junk over and inscribed ring any day! LOL
Thanks for your encouragement and taking the time to reply.
    Cindy

The piece with the hole looks like it could be part of a butt plate for a musket.

The triangular thing with the hole might be a lock cover. You should check out the forum on cleaning/electrolysis. You will get a lot more detail out of your "rusty" items and might come away with a nice makers mark.

We don't find junk here on Tnet. We might collect some "junque" and "crappe' " at times but no junk! Monty
