    Small Clasp?

    Found at a late 1700s / early 1800s settlement site. Measures 1" long and 5/8" wide. Thanks for your help.

    One very similar was just ided as a gun sling buckle but I soon after learned thats actually not what they were .........I have to look back and see what they were now!

    I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

    I do believe that is a clog clasp. I found one of these before, ID'd by Cru, I think. I'm going to go fetch the link he gave me.
