    real or reproduction

I found these buttons in my Yard last year. The one with on the left was found in my front yard 8" deep . The other was found in my freshly tilled gard but was around 6-8 inches deep. My house was built in 1907 and is about 5 miles from a revolutionary war fort. I know Hessian buttons were like this and that there were reproductions in the 40's I believe. I havent seen originals and was just wondering if anyone could tell me for certain if these are reproductions or not.

My guess it 20th century blazer button based on the thin steel backs.

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

Definitely modernday civilian "Fashion" buttons ...not Revolutionary War military buttons (none of which had a brass front with an iron back).

The exact version you found has been discussed previously here in the What-Is-It forum.
