    Please help id this button

I dug this button in my backyard a few weeks ago and was wondering what it is. Not sure what it is made of, but it is not heavy. I think a general staff officer button, but what time period? There were smaller buttons in the same general area, but I haven't cleaned them up yet. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the concensus on these rusted back buttons is a non-official veterans replacement. I have a few of these and they always seem to come with WWI era stuff.

There are many variations. Yours has a lined field. Some even have brass backs. The one on the left is 3 piece, on the right 2 piece. Both are non military issue.
