Meteorite or wrong? CHECK IT OUT!! please

This I found a few months ago here in Allentown Pa.. It jumps and sticks to my high power magnet but is NOT magnetic itself. If you look close a tiny, tiny bit is chipped and it looks white. It is hard but not very hard. I used a medium toothbrush and dishoap and warm water to clean . What is it? Does anyone know? Its probably not a meteorite and I know no one can tell for sure 100% from a pic.. Any help is always appreciated. Thanks!

That could very well be a meteorite, or not.. There is really only one way to know for sure, and that is to have it sampled. I have a link to the ASU lab at ArizonaMeteoriteAdventures.com Neat find!

I don't have any porcelain but Hematite would leave a reddish streak right? If you look close you can see where a small piece looks chipped off and it is White. I scratched that part with a knife Hard and white dust came off. What is reddish/brown, white on the inside and STICKS to a magnet?? I have no idea. Thanks guys for help.

It could be an L5 Chondrite, it could be terrestrial. We can't tell from a photo.

Never any Dinosaurs here in Eastern Pa. Correct? At least I'm quite sure none have ever been found anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong please. I do Not claim to be an expert. Thanks for the input. Always happy to listen.

Re: Meteorite or wrong? CHECK IT OUT!! please

i guess i should have been more generic.

    Coprolite

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A coprolite of a carnivorous dinosaur found in southwestern Saskatchewan.
A coprolite is fossilized animal dung. Coprolites are classified as trace fossils as opposed to body fossils, as they give evidence for the animal's behaviour (in this case, diet) rather than morphology. The name is derived from the Greek words κοπρος / kopros meaning 'dung' and λιθος / lithos meaning 'stone'. They were first described by William Buckland in 1829. Prior to this they were known as "fossil fir cones" and "bezoar stones." They serve a valuable purpose in paleontology because they provide direct evidence of the predation and diet of extinct organisms.[1] Coprolites may range in size from a few millimetres to over 60 centimetres.

Coprolites, distinct from paleofaeces, are fossilized animal dung. Like other fossils, coprolites have had much of their original composition replaced by mineral deposits such as silicates and calcium carbonates. Paleofaeces, on the other hand, retain much of their original organic composition and can be reconstituted to determine their original chemical properties.[2] In the same context, there are the urolites, erosions caused by evacuation of liquid wastes and nonliquid urinary secretions

so i guess what i should have said was,

fossilized animal dung which covers about any animals.

I think ASU stopped taking samples last year - hope not forever, but, you'd have to give them a call first.

I am almost absolutely sure you have a scratch plate.

If you have a toilet, the underside of the tank cover works GREAT for a scratch plate. They are usually porcelain, and unglazed.

YEAH FUNNY ISN'T IT. Checking to see if it is fossilized "doo doo" on the underside of the toilet. Hematite quick test will work with that but what would coprolite ("doo doo")streak look like?
