    Head scratcher

    Found this today water hunting. Numerous Civil War era items have came from this spot....but I just don't know what this brass item is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kieth

    considering size and shape as well as it being brass it very well may be part of a gun. it just has that look to me. if so it won't take long to id it, good luck.
