    Solved! Knife Help Please

I plan to leave most of the stuff I am digging to the local museum and or land owner to display in. That is if I have anything interesting, so please forgive my number of posts, but I don't want to throw something in a scrap iron pile that might be significant to the areas history!

Please help with any info. on these, the first photo is all metal Heavy Metal... Is this part of an old Jack Knife? Did they make the outers with all metal?

Then on the other knifes or things, any information is always appreciated!

    Thanks, Cindy

your first photo looks like it could be an early-1800's clasp knife

The bottom knife looks like a Butcher's knife, and was a nice one in its day! Breezie

I love that complete spoon. Does it have any markings on the back? It appears to be a pewter spoon. If it is pewter, you'll need to coat it with a 50/50 mixture of Elmer's glue (the white stuff you used in elementary school) and water. It's reversable, and it keeps it from flaking apart.

Cool, thanks for the tip! I can't tell if it says anything or not. I tried to look, but can't get it any cleaner.

G'evein'-- this is the first chance I've had to get back to you with a photo of my found clasp knife. I'm just learning how to use this modern tech, so we'll see if this transfers correctly. If so, I'll finally be able to some opinions on what I've found over the years.
p.s.-- ahhh! I see that it worked!!
