    Tiny Brass Acorn with Heart?

Today I found a tiny solid possibly brass Acorn. At first I thought is was a charm, but it has No hole or indications of a fastener. I scoured the web for over an hour and came up with nothing even close. The only mark is a heart on the bottom. Found it in a playground that only gave up some clad, a Ring, an earring and this Acorn. Signed, Stumped

Your little acorn was probably part of what is called 'cage jewelry,' where the item is inside of a cage. It could have been a pendant or a charm. The embossed 'heart' is the maker's mark.

There are also 'message lockets,' which hold individual jewelry pieces.

    Neat find Breezie

The closest thing I could Find is a Miniature.
However, I think it is part of a Figure or Sculpture of a Squirrel.
My Wife thinks maybe a game Token?

Could be part of a Watch Fob Chain, the part that counter balanced the watch, the one below gives you some idea. Nice find either ways

I wonder if it might be something like a "love dridel" or top .. The tip looks sorta "polished" as though it has been spun like a top.
    Interesting little piece!

Well I spent more time looking last night at Squirrel Figures and nothing.
I don't think it was ever attached to anything by a chain, no marks of that sort.
I tried to spin like a top, but the little handle looking thing is way too small to grasp.
I did finally try to spin it, but it fell over quick.
Either way it is one of my favorite finds.

When I first saw this I immediately thought of the infamous acorn post of last year! I was pleasantly surprised to see it was a miniature rather than one with spikes! I think it is a charm or at leasts part of a charm. Monty

It would spin upside down on the nubbin with the heart facing up.

    Well that was fun
I tried over and over to spin it on the nub, heart facing up.
Then my daughter said "dad let me try" no luck...but we had fun trying.
Oh, and there is not indication of any attatchment for a charm.

Maybe the old acorn thread was run first five years ago but it was still alive last year. I didn't think it would ever die! M nty

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.
