Never seen anything like the first one. The second item looks like a clip chain for a sweater or shawl.

I cant see it, only bits and pieces of the image. Needs resized please.

Your monitor must be large. This is what I see last pic: My best guess is a blurry tablecloth.

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.

Breezie will know what it is. We could use a pic of the front with something for size reference like a ruler or coin.

Re: Odd Pin Back's, what are these?

I dont quite understand how the fastener works but Ill make a wild guess of a very large earring? Will it clip to an ear lobe?

Im sure Im wrong but will maybe get the discussion going.

The back appears to be hinged in the center and the two wing like parts fold down?

Re: Odd Pin Back's, what are these?

Yes, it is one side of some type of ladies jewelry 'clip.' Depending on how it operates would depend on what type of clip it is. I'm assuming the 2 side pieces fold upward to fit inside of a sweater button hole, then spread back out to hold it in place. If this is how it operates, it's a sweater clip probably from the 1950s. If the mechanisms open outward, then it could be a hair clip. Can you post other pics and/or describe how the mechs work? Interesting find, Breezie

Re: Odd Pin Back's? Pictures added

Here are a couple of updated pictures. The clasp is hinged in 3 spots, each side and center. It does not open or close, just expands up or down?

Re: Odd Pin Back's, what are these?

After seeing the updated pictures, I can see it is a ladies scarf clip. The scarf is run through, and then clipped down when positioned. I can't see all of the face/front, but from what I can see, it appears to be from the 70s/80s. Breezie
