    Brass Whatchamacallit

Dug this up in a school yard. It's 2" in dia., and externally threaded. It looks to me to be a foot of some kind.

Mojjax, thank you for that ID. I've seen a few other dug ones, usually in miscellaneous junk boxes at relic shows, and wondered what they were. Now I do know, with reasonable certainty. After reading your post I websearched the phrase "model T radiator cap" ...which led to this link showing the modern-made replacement for use by antique-car restorers. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Brass-19...item1e6aa938ef

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.
