Any ideas on this pendant?

I found this little pendant in the surf on the Gulf Coast. I suspect its just junk but it has that "old" look to it. I'd love to hear what others might think of this find.

Bling! The top bent piece was a crown. And there looks like it would have been a bottom piece too that broke off. Might have been a frame around it at one time like this one?

It's cool to me I like the skull stuff,but my guess would be a fob or zipper pull of sorts.But I'd like to have one in gold to mount another one of my cobs.

I think we can generally agree this belonged to a pirate but one whose vision was corrected with laser surgery rather than an eye patch. Eh, mateys?
