solved need help from the pros. think its brass

Hello everyone, this is only my second time posting but I'm on here all the time. Some really great finds, most of which totally blow me away. I'm posting today to ask for some help, I found this button like item in a park that's been there since around the 1960's.It has the US stamp in it, so naturaly, old military came to mind. I have zero knowledge on this stuff. I love hearing and watching stuff on history but I just don't retain it lol. Anyway, I need some help from the pros. Could anyone help me with this. It has one barb on the back and there looks to be some signs of where 2 more were previously.I'm thinking maybe brass, it was buried about 5 or 6 in. deep the ground. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you all and i'm looking forward to hearing from some of you members that truly find the good stuff. Happy hunting everyone, thanks for checking out my pics.

The brass object you found is a World War One era (and later) US insignia from leather horsegear. Yours is distinguished from earlier versions by consisting of nothing but a single piece of stamped sheet-brass. Two of the three attachment-tabs on your specimen are broken off. The tabs fit through a short slit in the leather and were bent over to crimp the insignia onto the leather.

I think what you have is a bridal rosetta from the Span/Am period. About 1890s to 1900s.

Thank you guys so much. I have tried looking it up on the internet many times. I can find similar pictures but nothing close enough to be a match to the one I have. Any chance it may be a replica? Again, thank you guys for all your help.

I live in a state of rules where I am not permitted to live on my own country land because my home is not 130 MPH rated! I can only visit it from time to time and pay the fines.  I feel so safe with Big Government protecting me. In some states its illegal to collect rainwater.
