    Buckle ID help

    Found on Civil War era farm in Missouri. Anyone know the name of the buckles? What is the bell-shaped item?

    The top pic is of harness buckles. I don't know if they have a name or not, but definitely off of harness.

    Bell shaped item could be a harness ring.

    duggap is correct. The top item looks like a halter square, and they still make them in a variety of styles. Yours appears to perhaps be a combination of a 3-sided halter square combined with buckle - all in one.
