A Button and a thingamabob
The button is pretty well wasted. There is some gilt left on the back and I was able to figure out some of the letters. What I'm trying to do is get an approximate age. If anyone can help, good, if not, no biggie.
The words are "TREBLE GILT" along one side and the only letter I could make out on the top was that whatever it said ended in the letter "K".
The thingamabob, I have no clue.
I have to take my detector out for a walk every now & then. If I don't, it starts leaving little piles of pull tabs all over the house!!

I Often Find Myself Killing Time Looking For What Time Has Killed!
I have found them on very late 18th & early 19th sites marked with the treble gilt marks. There's many types of those buttons with that type mark.Go here & you can see some like them scroll down a ways..............

Thanks for the info and link, Timekiller. It does help. I thought it might be that old, just wasn't sure.

Your thingamabob looks like it may be a Beyblade. Its a kids toy spinning top that ia popular now.

Some aluminum jelly on that button may clean it up better.
