I found this with a Fisher Cz70 awhile back. I found religious medallions and crosses some of them silver some gold and a silver ring with Mother Marry on it. Some of the items date back to 1700s

You need to give more information. Can you post the gold with close ups of any markings?

It's dangerous to be right when those with a thimbleful of perceived authority are wrong.
Looks like a "wedding crown" used in a lot of Eastern European marriage ceremonies.

The words ... "Religous" ~ "Child" ~ "Prague" kept popping up in the searches I did ... none of which were an exact match, although some of them were close.

I don't think you will get an exact match. Things like this were made independently, with a VERY basic "style" and the rest was unique.

I was thinking maybe a scepter that might have fit to the end of a staff.

Here is an example of the types of (similar) crowns I have been seeing, which are referred to as Infant of Prague crowns.

Dave, unless I missed it you havent even told us what country you found it in!! We didnt even know the size until now. Please give us something to work with to at least limit the guesses on your interesting find. Were all the items found together? School yard, colonial homesite or battlefied? What gold? What silver? What items have you iidentified as 1700 items? Thanks.

I tried to do a search back for some answers but I couldnt find much. Congrats on the banner.
Im going to guess that you found it in America and none of the other items were related to the crown and that why you didnt post them. But it helps to know these things up front.
Maybe its church related?

All of this was found in Alabama on a vacant lot near an old Rd. Once called the Spanish Trial. It was all found in the same hole. Some of the crosses I have seen in artifact books of dug items that were recoverd from Spanish settlements. This is just my opinion.
