if you click on the link that I will add to this reply, and scroll down once or twice, you should see an older ebay listing for that very padlock you found with the sunrise and igloo.
Sold for $66, will try and see if I can find anything more at all. Good luck hun...

oh hey now. just found this as well.. will add 2nd link too...hope this gives you a bit more info dben.
as quoted: "A beautiful, solid brass warded - lever commemorative padlock made by Slaymaker. This lock commemorates Admiral Byrd's expedition to the North Pole. There are three locks in the commemorative series. The CQD, THE NORTH POLE and THE SKY KING (increasing order of difficulty to obtain). The lock is in excellent condition and works well with its operating key. SIZE: 2.0"w x 2.75"h x 0.5"d. 4.7oz - eBay (18 June 2009)".
and another quote: "VERY NICE OLD PADLOCK. IT IS LISTED AS A "COMMEMORATIVE" LOCK. HAS AN IGLOO AND SUNRISE ON THE FRONT, THE BACK IS PLAIN. THE OFFICIAL NAME LISTED IS THE "NORTH POLE" LOCK (ADMIRAL BYRD'S EXP.) COMES WITH A KEY. THE PADLOCK COLLECTOR BOOK, PAGE 273, #7. MEASURES ABOUT 2 7/8" TALL. - eBay (25 May 2009)
This padlock had a high bid of $114.49 (Plus $5.95 Shipping).".

The coin is a Chinese "cash coin " , a common find on ground in 'Nam. I have one my past away wife gave me in Korea in Yongsan near Myungdong 41 years ago, if not for her, I would not have had the work I found stateside. I thought working for the Commonwealth as a Social worker in Welfare would gain respect, but not for veterans as jobs were scarce then when Doctors became janitors.

If you can rotate the cash coin 1/4 turn right, I could probably date it for you. Hard to read sideways.

The 3rd pic looks like a harness buckle cover.

That lock commemorates the trip where Adm. Byrd was Allegedly taken into the Earth by flying saucers . There is a whole conspiracy theory about it.
