Ivory/bone, silver and ancient coins......
This was found by a friend in an old yard. Any ideas on the coins and maybe the holder? There is an elephant carved in the container with a lion chasing him. Sterling hinged cap, and bone or ivory plug. The coins were inside.

The coins look early Indian (India).
Is there a hallmark on the silver?
