    button help

    these are some of the 70 or so buttons i have found
    someone said that button two (pewter) was revolutionary war as was number 4 (brass or copper)
    also looking for any and all info on button 3

    Button #2 is either a pewter or "white-tombac" button, dating from the 1700s to the early-1800s.

    Button #3 is a civilian Fashion button, from the early-1800s.

    "Button" #4 is not a button... it is a horse-harness rosette. Your photo (or scan) of its back shows the nubs where the attachment bar/wire broke off.
