    No clue. found all 5 in the same hole. i am certain there are more. HELP!

    Civil war school burned in late 1800s. These were dug in charred rubble where I have dug belt plates, and buttons from the fire. These are iron, and they are all different in some way. Maybe some sort of hinge lock for a window?

    These are iron, and they are all different in some way.
    Different how? Other than one with an elongated hole they look the same.

    Were they all found very close together or just in the same general area (do you think they may all have been part of the same itme)?
